These are the beginning pictures of my 'ripped out wings' project. The scar on the right is a couple years old (28 stitches). The cut on the left will eventually be a symmetrical duplicate of the other. In the end, I hope to have it look as though I had wings ripped out of my back.

Lounge Act, Pornographic Miniature; girl boy fetish, bloodletting, nostalgia

I was naked on the stage, waiting for Violet. We were in the cocktail
lounge off the main gaming area in Mesquite Star, the abandoned casino w
we'd been living in. It was an intimate half moon shaped space with deep
leather booths arranged along the curving velvet textured wall facing
the small dancefloor and low stage. Above the stage a sign said Laila's
Lounge in blue cursive neon. Violet was lighting the candles on the
tables. She'd ringed the foot of the stage with blue devotional candles.
I could see my skinny 14 year old body in the candle light, exaggerated
shadows under my ribs, my belly button a well of darkness. I felt the
evening pulsing through the walls. Earlier on the radio they'd said
aurora borealis would be visible in the desert sky that night, because
the sun had gone berserk. Even inside space crawled with sick electricity.

This is basically what happens to me when I feel extremely strange. Although it may look like a bunch of worthless crap to you, it actually has lot of meaning. Heaven on top, Hell on the bottom, connected by one long tube. The rest is unexplainable to anyone, mostly because you people have no idea what was going on through my head when I scratched this onto paper. This was supposed to represent my surroundings at the time. The lower left-hand corner says 'god', making the phrase at the bottom 'god is downstairs'. Don't ask me what I was thinking, because I have no idea what the answer is.

Old Friend
by
Catherine Maguire

The air was thick with desire and tragic longing. The humidity of a New Orleans summer night had the ability to bring out in a person an animalistic hunger which caused them to forget themselves. Maria savored this sensual energy as she made her way down Decatur Street. She had just arrived in town a few nights ago from Mexico City, and already she was absolutely smitten with this town. It was the perfect home for a vampire. Some might even say that the city herself was a nocturnal predator. Maria fancied the idea that she might stay on in New Orleans even after her business was taken care of.

There were still a couple weeks to go
until our second date when she called and complained about the other guy she was seeing from Long Beach. Apparently he had been flying up and driving her crazy with his predictability.

She asked if I would consider staying
with them at her place for the weekend
pretending to be her brother in order to relieve her boredom. I could stay in
her Mom's room since she was out of town and help myself to all the food I wanted.

I didn't even have to think about it.
I asked her what time she wanted me there...

My Ethereal Love

My Love is incorporeal and virtual
Like a vapor
Without substance and form
And I often think
That this is what the dead must feel
For each other and how spirits
Must love when touch has passed away
Into the distance of dark impossibility
And all sensuous trace is wrapped
In cold repose

I love you purely like a ghost
With mind and heart but mostly words
Not formed in throat or shaped on tongue
And launched from lips
Nor propelled on the warmth
Of my every breath
But silent they come to you
Like a midnight apparition
That hangs before your eyes
Untouchable and ethereal

From the underworld
My words reach you now
Where these lines appear
Inchoate on the page
And my voice that moves invisibly
From this nether realm
Is the sound of wind in the leaves
And is the ice-cold moonlight
Of a summer night

I FORGOT.

First I forgot your smiles

Then the shadow of your flesh

Then the wrinkles on your palm

Then those long slender ledge.

Then I forgot your deciphered name

Then the long alphabetical strife

Then I forgot the staid solid skeletons

Arranged neatly on the shelf twice.

KISS

When I kissed you

In an arid waste of that cheek

The tangle of your hair did dissect

Indulged in making a tale brief

Of some sombre trivial demise

Of hope forlorn or of rainy nights

And the communication between two hearts

Flowered perhaps in meadows of grass

Sweet whispers stopped not

A song of soul on warm lips

Neither charm away nor stop now

The wonder of love in mind's crypts.

" Writer, journalist and multifonctions activist emigrated in
Barcelona, Fred Romano sent us this small bleeding text as a reaction
to the events of the 11 September. We are delighted by this strange
literary object where hippopotamus and small fishes play around with
Sylvester Stallone, some multinational groups and a mathematical orgy
of binomials. "

A little about submissions...

This site consists of my own artwork plus the things that have been submitted by other people. I am always looking for more pictures, links, essays, poems, etc. The more I get from you guys, the better this site becomes! If you see any type of punk art work please scan it and send it to me, just let me know who the author is.

If you submit an essay or poem, please take the time to spell check it beforehand. If you're submitting something that you did not write, please include the author's name.

If you submit a link, please include the title of the site and if possible a short description of it.

All submissions are valid. I reserve the right to refuse any new-age or yuppie bullshit - everything else should be fine and will be posted within the week.
